Anther great performance from Diana. I like "I'm Here" much more than "Someday" but both songs showcase Diana's voice. I hope OTM makes it to the Off-Broadway stage.

I think that song is actually called "I'm Ready". Diana sounds amazing in that video. I'm not sure what I think of the song (weird melody), but her singing is very impressive.

Her whole costume looks a bit awkward. lol Her heels must be pretty high.

I don't see it ever landing a major theater off broadway. The only kid oriented productions in NYC are done by Disney and I don't see that changing. From the clips it seems more like a good show for regional or small traveling productions but not one big time investors are going to take a chance on.

Agreed. I kind of hope that this isn't extended into April because I want Diana to do more of her music, but at least she's hopefully making or updating fans.

Here's another video from the performance at S4 with a better angle. You can see Diana dancing in this one (she's on the left at the beginning and then on the right towards the end).

Hey everyone!!
My name is Anna and I'm actually a big Clay Aiken fan :P BUT I am/was in "Oz The Musical" Just as a munchkin and a flying monkey, and got to spend some time around Diana. She is so SWEET!! I know you all knew that already, but dang!! I hope some Texas fans were able to see the show, Diana was absolutely amazing!! I did get to talk to her once, not when she was signing autographs out in the lobby with a TON of people swarming around, but backstage by her dressing room where she was more laid back. She was talking about a man in the lobby who was talking during the performance (You could hear him from ON STAGE!!!) and then she turned to me and said "and if you have a crying baby, seriously, do you not know to take them out?" smilieGRIN.gif

I know that if someone had a picture of Clay I would want them to share it, so here is the picture that I got with her. Sorry its so big but I don't really know how to make it smaller :P If you wanna know anything else then let me know!! I'd be happy to share smilieSMILE.gif

Haha. I think most of us can totally imagine the look on Diana's face as she's saying this. Diana is actually pretty hilarious (and usually right) when she's annoyed.

I wish I did have some pictures of Clay to thank you for coming here to share yours! Where did you do your stint as a munchkin? smilieSMILE.gif

haha!! oh I have PLENTY of pictures of Clay smilieGRIN.gif
I was in the opening show in Dallas on the 8th, then in Fort Worth on the 14th, and most recently the show in Irving on the 23rd smilieSMILE.gif

How was the crowd for Irving? The show was added at the last minute so I was wondering if they were able to advertise it enough.
Also, from what you've seen, how did the show improve between your first stint and yesterday's show?

It is great that you had such a good experience and wanted to share it with us. It is cool that you are a Clay fan because I know Diana's mom has mentioned past contact with the "Claymates," in both Hawaii and New York City when Diana was doing Hairspray. How did you find us, by the way? We've been around forever but nowadays people usually go straight to Diana's MySpace. smilieLOL.gif

It was actually really good!! I'm not sure what percentage it was of parents, which is quite a lot :P But it seemed like the auditorium filled up.
WELL I have to admit, I haven't seen the show all the way through yet :P I have seen some past intermission but yea.. In the shows that I wasn't in I was mostly helping backstage... but the munchkin scene, (did that a FEW times) she definitely improved. Its just so fun, thats why I love theatre, cause you can change it up every night, thats what she did. They changed the shoes after the Dallas shows, they weren't buckling good and toto kept on having to do them, other than that I have no clue, my parents have seen it about 4 times though haha

oh yes the Claymates.. I'm not one of the crazy one's don't pay any attention to my screen name ahaha!!
We have boards in the Clay fandom as well, in fact one of them is the same set up as this one. I just used my best friend google hehe

I am finally being able to post....I have been wanting to for awhile. I was actually part of the crew of this show...HI ANNA!! I have been with the production from the first munchkin rehearsals and it's really a wonderful show. If it had the right promotion it would be wonderful...just didn't really have the right people this time, but that is being remedied. Some dates have been being cancelled...but I am not 100% sure what is exactly going on with them. The writer of the show is a friend of mine and this is now the 3rd incarnation of this show I have seen..not counting the one with Mikalah, etc..bc I didnt get to see that one. I think a lot of people really aren't giving it a chance...it really is geared more toward families and children...but the adults coming seem to be liking it a lot too. Our cast is wonderful and I have been so excited to get to be a part of this. I was considered a "Munchkin Wrangler" Diana is one of the sweetest people and really funny too. Got a chance to talk to her a few times throughout this. She is so down to earth and there is really nothing "Diva" about her at all. I will admit that I really didn't watch American Idol when she was on, so I didn't know what to expect but she is AMAZING!!!!! If they do this as a national tour, I hope that everyone will come out and see it and at least give the show a chance. It's hard to judge something based on a few youtube clips, especially the ones not of this production...bc that was a very low budget, local production. It's a wonderful show that I think everyone would like if they just gave it a chance! smilieSMILE.gif

Hi Tisha! I saw you post on Diana's MySpace and was wondering if you were the same Tisha who registered here. Diana is a pretty special person and an awesome talent so I'm glad you got the chance to see that for yourself (and hopefully became a fan who will support her in her future music or theater endeavors). smilieSMILE.gif

The show itself seems to be making the audiences happy and Diana seems happy doing it, so that's been a good thing. I can't speak for anybody but myself but the main concern about the show has been the disorganization with the show dates and the lack of promotion. The date changes, cancellations, and additions were perplexing to say the least. It made it tough for people to plan ahead to go support her and the show, a problem we didn't have with her three previous musicals. That disorganization came across badly and that could have ultimately reflected poorly on Diana, and Diana's career and her well being is our only concern. It looks like it has all worked out fine, except now the Louisiana and Alabama dates have disappeared!

Anna, Tisha - welcome! Thanks for posting! I'm glad being apart of the show was so fun, it sounds like Diana is having a lot of fun as well. Glad to hear good things (as always). I hope you both stick around. smilieSMILE.gif

I'm a bit confused about the upcoming dates myself. It looks like a few have disappeared from Diana's MySpace. I wonder if the tour is even going into March or whether the last show will be in a few days.

This disorganization of the dates and lack of promotion were definitely not planned. The show itself is taking a 3-6 week break to get some stuff done, then we will be back on the road rocking it!

I'm glad to say that I agree that Diana is a sweetheart. I've talked to her many times and adore her. I'm glad she joined this production. This is the first time Todrick has done a show at this level, which means the first time I've been involved at a show this level because I do all his shows, and it has been a fantastic experience. Everyone in the cast is extremely talented and incredibly nice. The use of hometown munchkins is a great touch. So I agree with my girl Tisha, I hope we see you all on the road! As someone who doesn't watch American Idol unless a friend is on, don't throw anything!, I knew of Diana but never heard her sing. I'm glad this show introduced me to her and her music.

Diana is a great talent. although, i haven't ever met her, but from what i've heard she seems like a very down to earth person and deserves all the success in the world.
